America is turning 250 and she deserved a nail. 🗽✨
Day 15 is the most timely look in the challenge so far. One single thumb tip, hand painted Statue of Liberty on the lower half, fireworks in pink and blue behind her, white stars across a blue sky at the top, and a 3D sculpted “250” sitting right on the nail surface. A whole birthday celebration on one press-on tip.

The Nail Breakdown
The Statue of Liberty. Hand painted on the lower half of the nail in blue and white line work. The face and crown read clearly even at nail scale which is what makes this work. Liberty is the anchor of the whole composition, she grounds the design before the fireworks and stars do their job above her.
The fireworks. Bursting behind Lady Liberty in pink and blue, they fill the middle of the nail with energy and movement. The pink is an intentional choice, it softens what could have been a very literal red, white, and blue look and gives it something more personal and artistic. This is not a flag nail. This is a celebration nail.
The star field. White stars scattered across a bright blue at the top of the nail, referencing the American flag without being a direct copy of it. The stars carry the patriotic read while the rest of the design stays painterly and creative.
The 3D “250.” Sculpted and sitting proud off the nail surface in gold chrome on black, the number is the statement piece. It tells you exactly what is being celebrated without needing any other context. You see “250” on a nail covered in stars and fireworks and Lady Liberty and you know instantly.
On painting patriotic nails without making them literal
The easiest version of a Fourth of July nail is red, white, and blue stripes or a flag. That is fine but it is also everywhere. What makes this nail different is that it tells a story instead of displaying a symbol. Lady Liberty is not a flag but she is America. Fireworks in pink instead of red feel celebratory without feeling like a uniform. Stars without stripes reference the flag without replicating it.
The goal with any holiday nail is to capture the feeling of the occasion rather than just the imagery. The feeling of the Fourth is wonder and celebration and the scale of a 250 year history. This nail tries to hold all of that on one tip. I think it does. 🗽
