Not every nail look has to be a project. 👻
Day 6 and I wanted to show that Halloween nails don’t have to mean hours of freehand work. These sticker Halloween nails are proof that clean, minimal, and intentional can hit just as hard as the elaborate stuff, and they took a fraction of the time. Clear base, perfectly placed ghost and spider web stickers, and that’s it. Sometimes restraint is the flex.
These are also a great option if you’re newer to nail art and want holiday-ready nails without the pressure of freehand painting.
About This Look
Nail stickers get a bad rep sometimes as the “easy” option, but using them well is actually a skill. Placement matters, where you put a sticker on the nail, how you balance it with negative space, whether it’s centered or offset, all of that affects the final look. A badly placed sticker on a clean base looks sloppy. A perfectly placed sticker looks intentional.
A few tips for working with nail stickers: apply them to a cured, tacky-free base, use a tweezer or orange stick for precision, press down edges firmly before top coating, and seal with a thick layer of top coat to prevent lifting at the edges.
The clear base on these is a simple gel top coat. I love how the bare nail peeking through adds a barely-there elegance that keeps the spooky stickers from feeling costume-y.
